Good to know:

  • Some sections of the route are pathless and require a bit of surefootedness but do not pose any major challenges.
  • This tour requires good physical fitness, as it involves over 3,000 meters of ascent and approximately 12 hours of hiking.
  • It is essential to check the weather forecast carefully in advance and adjust the tour accordingly.
  • There is an option to descend to Antholz from the Grüblscharte.
  • Since there are no water sources along the route, carrying a sufficient amount of water is crucial.
  • The only refreshment point along the route is the Hexenschenke at Staller Saddle – there are no huts or emergency shelters in between. Therefore, an early start is essential to complete the entire tour in one day.
