The dense, green forests of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, quaint lakes and the distinctive peaks of the glacier-rich Rieserferner mountain range characterise the unique landscape of the valley called Antholzertal/Valle Anterselva. Yet, hidden deep within this pristine landscape, there are two more highlights which will turn your excursions amidst our mountains and valleys into something very special and astonish your children: our blue valley's rushing waterfalls.
Situated above the locality of Antholz Mittertal, it belongs to the tour highlights of our picturesque valley: the roaring Klammbach waterfall can be found close to the farms called Eggerhöfe at an altitude of 1,508 m. An easy hike of about one hour will take you and your family to its rushing water, which will surely impress you. In addition to this wonderful spectacle of nature, which you can admire up close from the viewing platform, you are also surrounded by a breathtaking panorama of the Antholz valley and the imposing Rieserferner mountains.
→ Our tip: Close your eyes while standing on the platform and enjoy the perceptible power of the waterfall, its wind and its refreshing spray.
Another worth seeing attraction is the slightly smaller Egger waterfall. Just as the Klammbach waterfall, this one is also located near the Eggerhöfe/Masi Egger farms and can be reached by a short, approximately 30-minute hike (10 min. from the farms) – just perfect for an excursion with little children! Experience this impressive waterfall in all its strength while enjoying the relaxing peacefulness of this secluded place.
→ Our tip: Combine your tour to both waterfalls for an outstanding waterfall experience.
