Challenging trekking in a place of legends, where unbelievably the wild mountain and the cultural landscape of the alpine pasture cared for by the animals become one and the same and provide us with unique views. We start at the spectacular Lake Braies, in whose water the massive rock faces of the Croda del Becco are reflected and which is a true myth in the mountain world as well as one of the natural wonders of the Dolomites. We walk up through the forest to the alpine pasture where the animals graze: Fojedöra, a magical place where time has stood still and off the beaten track, an authentic and original place. The meadows are home to an exceptional variety of species and give us a view of a lake of our own: Lake Fojedöra. Throughout the walk we will move through the Fanes-Sennes-Braies nature park, also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Lunch
there is the possibility to stop at the Fojedöra alpine hut, or we can each have a packed lunch.

Route
The tourist office in San Vigilio can be reached from Brunico via Longega. Once in San Vigilio, the office is located at Str. Plan de Corones 38, on the road towards Passo Furcia.
Parking is possible in the underground garage at the Bar Stadio (for a fee) or at the entrance to San Vigilio, before the Hotel Monte Sella (free of charge). The car park is approx. 400 m from the tourist office.

100% refund if you cancel by 6 p.m. three days before, 50% refund if you cancel by 6 p.m. two days before, No refund if you cancel from 6 p.m. two days before.
If the trek is cancelled due to bad weather or other reasons, the fee paid by the customer will be refunded or converted into a voucher to be used for another excursion.
Offer description
Registration includes the taxi to Lake Braies, the organisation and conduct of the activity as well as accompaniment during the hike.
The event must be paid in advance online or in our tourist office. Payment on site at the beginning of the event is not possible.
The registration is only valid after receipt of payment. Unpaid registrations expire after 2 hours and are automatically deleted.
